Before & After: Home Design for Aging Well

FREE & RECORDED. Times shown are Pacific Time.

Join us for a special “before and after” edition of Wellness Wednesday as Janet Engel walks us through real-life spaces and practical solutions for aging well at home. Drawing on principles of accessible and universal design, you’ll see how thoughtful changes can make a space more livable, adaptable, and supportive of independence. Through real examples, we’ll explore how removing barriers—often in simple, unexpected ways—can make everyday life easier, safer, and more comfortable. You may never look at your home the same way again.

Janet Engel is Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Engagement at DwellSafe, where she combines her expertise as an occupational therapist with innovative technology to help older adults live safely and independently at home. An expert in aging in place and universal design, Janet has extensive experience in home health care and a deep understanding of the practical changes that can make our homes safer and more supportive as we age. She is also the creator and host of the Home Designs for Life podcast, where she explores the latest ideas and solutions for aging safely and comfortably at home.
